《紐約時報》記者Marc Stein透露，有消息來源表示，湖人隊向Dellavedova拋出了邀請，他們讓Delly考慮加入球隊，來補充最後的大名單位置，但這位澳洲控衛最終選擇了和老東家騎士隊續約。

現年30歲的Dellavedova已有7年的NBA經驗，他曾在2016年時作為LeBron James的隊友，幫助騎士隊奪得了那一年的NBA總冠軍。
2019-20賽季，Dellavedova在騎士隊出戰57場，場均出場14.4分鐘，得到3.1分1.4個籃板3.2次助攻。
